It is the drivers responsibility to ensure that everyone travelling in the vehicle has a seat belt. Fortunately, our motorhome has 6 seat belts and the campervan has 5.

Do I have to stay on campsites?

Unless you are in Scotland it is against the law in the UK to sleep in a motorhome on a public road, lay-by or car park. We recommend that you stay at campsites. Most campsites offer electric hook up which means you can use as much electricity as you desire. Some campsites or festivals do not offer electric hook up. Fear not our motorhomes have solar panels which charge two powerful leisure batteries. The central heating, hot water and fridge all run off gas ( provided free of charge by us ) meaning that you can live in luxury without electric hook up for a good few days. Facilities for the VW may differ, please ask for details.

Can I leave my car with you?

Yes, we have secure parking for up to two cars.

Is there a mileage restriction?

You must inform us of your estimated mileage prior to travel. Rental charges may be slightly higher or indeed lower with mileage exceptions.

How much fuel do the motorhomes use?

Our motorhome usually does 20 – 25 MPG depending on who is driving and upon weather conditions. Our campervan usually does 30 – 35 MPG. For example, from our own experience a trip from Warrington to Land’s End (360 miles) will cost around £85. From Warrington to Keswick (105 miles) will cost around £25. The motorhome will be handed to you with fuel near empty. Feel free to bring it back half full but we recommend that you return it to us at near empty. There is a petrol station 0.5 miles from Cheshire Motorhome Holidays pick up address.
